Looking for a way to translate your PASSION and LOVE for Taiwan into ACTION? Have a desire to do MORE for Taiwan? Then come learn more about FAPA YPG at our annual conference, June 24–26 in Washington, D.C.!

FAPA YPG—Formosan Association for Public Affairs Young Professional Group—was established in 2003 specifically for young adults. While our mission is the same as FAPA’s, we have expanded our activities and projects beyond just lobbying. In addition to our YPG mailing list serve with almost 400 members, we have been working on the TAIWANATION wristband and TW Bumper Sticker campaigns.

At the YPG National Conference, you will:

Tentative Conference Topics

On June 24 and 25, you will learn all the “know-how” and gain knowledge about the U.S.-Taiwan relationship. On Monday, June 26, you will visit the offices of your members of Congress and seek their support for Taiwan.

Costs, Funding, and Requirements

FAPA will cover lodging costs, but you will need take care of your own transportation to Washington, D.C. You may apply for funding (to cover traveling costs) through sponsorship from FAPA local chapters. Please contact Iris Ho if you wish to get in touch with local chapters for sponsorship. Recipients of FAPA chapter sponsorship are required to take part in Monday’s congressional lobbying visits. If you are a past participant and would like to participate again this year, we welcome you back. You can serve as chaperons and guides for your peers during the conference! Past conference participants are also required to stay on Monday for congressional visits.
